Performance

"Waterproof" testing is performed to simulate dripping water, rain, spraying water, or hydrostatic pressure on waterproof parts where leakage is a concern. Dye can be added to the fluid to facilitate detection of leaks that occur in the componnent.

Various liquid mediums can be used including distilled water, salt-water solutions, solvents, etc.
